niet te geloven, we zitten alweer in februari !
de tijd vliegt echt, en helaas is er niet zoveel tijd om te borduren als ik zou willen.
maar niet getreurt, ik blijf wel bezig hoor !
en ik heb weer wat nieuws om jullie te laten zien.
mijn goede vriendin Fiona is ok eeen echte borduurster.
helaas kan ze het nu niet meer, na een aanrijding heeft ze klachten overgehouden, een soort whiplash als ik me niet vergis, waardoor ze niet meer kan borduren.
de wil is er nog wel, maar het lukt gewoon niet meer.
dus ik heb aangeboden om de werkjes waar ze aan bezig was voor haar af te maken.
en dit is de eerste !

unfortunately she can´t stitch anymore, since an auto accident left her suffering from a whiplash.

ik ben rechts bovenaan begonnen, met in de eerste instantie veel stiksteken.
maar links missen ook nog wat kruisjes, dus ik ben er nog wel even zoet mee.
heel snel zal het niet gaan, maar ik doe mijn best !

this kit is called `To Be Blessed ` by Dimensions.
I started from the top right, with at first a lot of backstitches.
but there are some cross stitches to be done on the left also, so this will keep me busy for a while.
it won´t be a very fast stitch, but I´m giving it my best !

nu vind ik mezelf toch best zuinig met draad, maar zoals te verwachten was van Dimensions heb ik al 1 kleur op................

I do consider myself to be quite an economical stitches when it comes to the use of thread, but what they say about Dimensions kits is all true, I´ve already run out of 1 colour..............

Blogger problemen

helaas, ook bij mij heeft het Blogger-probleem toegeslagen !
bij sommige van jullie blogs kan ik helaas niet reageren, sorry !
ik merk wel dat als het reactie formulier opend als een pop-up venster ik wel kan reageren, maar als het een hele pagina is dan wordt het scherm wit.
of ik krijg wel een schermpje te zien maar kan er niets in typen.............
ik merk het vooral bij Elisa (het meisje met naald en draad) en Michelle ( madebymies), sorry dames, ik wil wel reageren maar het lukt niet !

control-schift-r tegenlijk indrukken werkt helaas niet.
en om nu telekens weer nieuwe programma´s te installeren , alleen om Blogger te laten werken, daar heb ik eigenlijk helemaal geen zin in !
dus, zit er helaas niets anders op dan even af te wachten .

I find that I cannot react to some of your blogs, sorry !
trying to find a sollution I did figure out that I can react when the reaction-form opens as a pop-up, but not if it opens as a whole page, then the screen turn all white.
or a see a field to type, which I cannot type into .................

hitting control-shift-r at the same time doesn´t work.
and to instal new programmes every time this happens, jus so Blogger works the way it should doesn´t appeal that much to me !
so, for now I cannot do anything else but wait it out.

misschien heb ik gewoon teveel leuke dingen gedaan, dat kan natuurlijk ook !
ik heb de eerste week van het nieuwe jaar heerlijk vakantie gevierd met zoonlief, en ook wat geborduurd natuurlijk.
een heerlijk kerstborduurtje van Barbara Ana.
en meteen mijn 1e ´finnish ´van 2012 !
nu nog in elkaar zetten..........

I can´t believe it, is it just me or is time really going so much faster in 2012 ?
maybe I´ve just been doing to many fun things, that could be it to !
the first week of the new year I´ve spend with my darling son, we both had the week off, and I´ve done some stitching aswell.
a lovely christmas chart from Barbara Ana.
and that makes for my first ´finnish ´ for 2012 !
now I just have to put it together......

en natuurlijk zijn we een dagje gaan winkelen !
helaas voor zoonlief moest hij mee naar de borduurwinkel, erg he !
maar ik heb mezelf eens lekker verwend met een boel heerlijke stofjes, Aida in licht blauw, rood, creme en nog iets.
een borduurblad vol met ornamentjes, en wat lint en een heel leuk schaartje.
we kunnen er weer tegen, voorraad genoeg.
weet er iemand nog een winkeltje waar je wat extra tijd kunt kopen ?

and ofcourse we went shopping !
poor Tristan, he had to come tot the stich-store with me, you can just imagine how terrrible that was for him !
but I decided to treat myself to a lot of new fabric, Aida in light-blue, red and creme, and another collour.
and an issue of cross stitch oraments, some ribbon and a lovely pair of siccors.
so that is enough stash to last me for a while !
does anyone perhaps know of a store where I can buy some extra time ?

laat ik beginnen om jullie allemaal een heel vrolijk 2012 te wensen !
en natuurlijk verder alle goeds, zoals gezondheid, geluk, en heel veel borduurtijd, maar laten we eerlijk zijn, een vrolijk nieuw jaar, dat is toch het belangrijkste ?
hebben jullie allemaal een leuke oude jaars avond gehad ?
wij wel hoor !
we zijn bij mijn zus Sandra en haar gezin geweest, lekker gegeten, Bingo gespeeld, en natuurlijk leuke prijzen gewonnen, heerlijk gelogeerd, en na een lekker ontbijt weer naar huis.
beter kun je het niuwe jaar toch niet beginnen ?

ans of course all other goods things aswell, like good health, luck, and lots of stitching time, but let´s be honnest, a happy new year, isn´t that the most important ?

we did !
we spend the eavening with my sister Sandra and her family, we had a nice dinner, played Bingo, and won some nice prices, had a nice sleep over, and after a jummy breakfast we went home again.
is there a better way to spend the new year ?

nu heb ik net voor het einde van 2011 nog even een spoedklusje gedaan.
ik zag dit schattige patroontje, en wilde het heel graag borduren.
en nu is mijn oma net op 31 dec jarig, dus je raad het al, dit leek me een leuk kado !
alleen kreeg ik dit geweldige idee pas donderdag avond..........ai !

and just before 2011 ended I had to do some speedy stitching.
I saw this very cute desing, and I really wanted to stitch it.
my grandmother´s birthday is on dec 31th, and you guessed right, I thought this would make a nice present.
the thing is, I didn´t got this rather brilliant idea until thursday eavening..................ai !


maar ik ben dapper begonnen, en dit is het resultaat na 1 avond borduren.
ach, en vrijdag had ik nog de hele dag om te borduren.

but I bravely started, and this is the result after 1 eavening of stitching.
and well, I did have all Friday to stitch.



nou, dus niet !
er kwam vanalles tussen, dus ik kon sávonds pas weer verder gaan.
ik heb tot half 2 geborduurd, en ben toen op zaterdag extra vroeg opgestaan om verder te gaan.
en toen was het eindelijk klaar.
dat wil zeggen, het geborduurde gedeelte................

well, I did not !
a lot of things happend, I did not have any time to stitch until the eavening.
I stayed up stitching until 1.30 , and then got up early the next morning to continue.
and the it was finally done.
the stitching part, that is.................

en toen kwam het in elkaar zetten.
de rand heb ik al iets veranderd want ik zat in tijdnood.
en ik vind het leuk om ook wat op de achterkant te borduren, maar je raad het al, geen tijd, vandaar dat er alleen 2011 op staat.
toen paste het mooie wit-zilver lint dat ik in gedachten had er niet bij, en ik bleek geen mooi groot wit kwastje meer te hebben om er onder aan te maken.

and then I had to put it togehter.
I changed the border, course I ran out of time.
and I like to stitch something on the back aswell, but you guessed it, no time, so I just did a simple 2011 .
then the lovely white-silver ribbon I had in mind didn´t match, and I found I did not have a nice big white tassle to put on the bottem.


dus..........................toen is dit het maar geworden !
om half 2 zaterdag middag was ik klaar !
sorry Joyze, ik heb mijn borduurtijd niet bijgehouden.............

ik heb geborduurd !! / I´ve stitched !!

geloof het of niet, maar het is eindelijk gebeurd, ik heb weer geborduurd !!
ik ben 1e kerstdag verder gegaan aan Waiting for Ships, terwijl ik bij mijn ouders was.
Tristan was die dag naar pappa, en tja, dan moet je toch wat he.
helaas heb ik maar een ietsiepietse gedaan gekregen.

believe it or not, but it has finally happend, I´ve stitched again !!
I went to my parents first Cristmas day, and there I stitched a bit on Waiting for Ships.
Tristan was at his dad´s that day, and well, you have to do something ,right.
I only maneged to do a very little bit.

ik ben haar haar aan het borduren met Molasses van Weeks Dye Works, en dat was natuurlijk net op.
en de rest van haar gezicht, tja, ik was het gedeelte van het patroon met de kleurentabel vergeten............................

I´m stitching her her with Molasses by Weeks Dye Works, and of course I just ran out of that.
and as for the rest of her face, well, I had forgotten the part of the chart that had the colour chart on it.....................

dit was de eerste keer dat ik met Weeks Dye Works borduurde, en het is me niet tegengevallen.
maar hoeveel je doet met zoon strengetje, dat is moeilijk in te schatten.
vandaar dat ik haar haar al gedeeltelijk in ´strengen´had geborduurd, zodat het niet zo erg was als een evt 2e strengetje een iets andere kleur zou hebben.
uiteindelijk heb ik de rest ingevuld met gewoon DMC, maar nu ik het laatste stukje heb af geborduurd met WDW weet ik al dat ik dat DMC weer uithaal.
dus toch maar een strengetje bijbestellen !

this was my first time stitching with Weeks Dye Works, and I must say it was nice to stitch with.
but I find it hard to figure out how much you can stitch with just one skein.
so I strated to stitch her her in ´strands´so it would not be a problem if a second strand of WDW had a slightly different colour.
evetually I filled in the open spaces with normal DMC, but now that I have done the last bit with WDW I know I´m going to take the DMC out.
so I gues I do have to order a new skein of Weeks Dye Works !

en een heleboel kadotjes !

het is wel een beetje raar, en anders, dat ook.

maar er is nu rust, en dat is belangrijk.

alles is afgerond, alles geregeld, en nu gaan we verder.

het heeft toch allemaal wat meer tijd gekost dan ik gedacht had, telkens was er weer iets anders, ik had vaak het gevoel dat ik midden in een Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden zat !

en ook erna, als alles rond is, wat je dan nog noet doen en regelen, en al die bedrijven, die `waarom makkelijk doen als het moeilijk kan ` als motto lijken te hebben.

soms wordt je er gewoon doodmoe van.

maar het is gelukt !

heel erg bedankt jullie allemaal, voor jullie steun, jullie liever mailtjes en jullie bezorgdheid.

het is echt fijn om te merken dat mensen met je meeleven !

ik ben stilletjes aan weer wat aan het neuzen op jullie blogs, alhoewel ik nog niet veel aan borduren ben toegekomen.

maar ook dat gaat weer komen !

ik ben een beetje laat, maar ik hoop dat jullie allemaal hele fijne en gezellige kerstdagen hebben gehad.

it is a bit strange, and different, that to.

but thinghave settled down now, and that is most important.

evrything is finalized now, and settled, and now we move on.

it did take a bit longer than I had expected, it was just one thing after another, and I often feld as if I was in the middle of a saop opera !

and even afterwards, when everything is finalized, the many thing you still need to do, to take care of, and all of those company´s who seem to have ` why do things the easy way, when you can do them the difficuld way` as a motto.

somethines it just completely exhaustest you.

but I maneged !
