happy birtday hubby !

vandaag is mijn manlief jarig !
morgen vieren we het , maar vanmorgen, heel vroeg, vond hij zijn kadotje al.
ik heb een letter van het Native alpabet van Joan Elliot geborduurd voor hem.
stiekem natuurlijk, want hij mocht het niet weten !

we´ll celebrate tomorrow, but this morning, very early, he found his present.
I stitched a letter for Joan Elliots Native alpabet.
secretly of course, I didn´t want him to know !


ik heb de H geborduurd, maar het paard dat erbij hoort heb ik vervangen door de adelaar, omdat ik dacht dat hij die mooier zou vinden.
de zon / maan heb ik helemaal geborduurd, eigenlijk valt die weg onder de letter.
de letter moest eigenlijk in 3011 , maar ik heb in plaats daarvan DMC color variations 4045 gebruikt.
het stof is licht blauw Jobelan.

I stitched the H, but the horse that is suposed to go with it I replaced for an eagle, becaurse I though he´d like that better.
the sun / moon I stitched in full, it´s suposed to be behind the letter.
the letter was charted in 3011, but I used DMC color variatons 4045 instead.
the fabric is a light blue Jobelan.

ik bedacht het me pas op dinsdagmiddag, en op vrijdag moest het klaar en ingelijst zijn.
maar gelukkig ging het snel !

I decided to do this on tuesday, and I had to have it ready and framed by friday.
luckaly it was a quick stitch !

en dit is het ingelijste resultaat.
toen ik het patroon in het boek `toevallig` liet zien vond hij het niet zo, maar hij was er heel blij mee !
( het was wel nog erg vroeg, dus misschien was hij nog niet goed wakker, kan natuurlijk ook ! )
ik denk dat ik nu ook nog de W en de T ga maken voor mezelf en Tristan.

(but then again, it was way early, so perhaps he wasn't really awake yet.........)

ik had al ecru stof voor de danseres, maar ik ben bij Naald en Draad in Roermond geweest, en daar heb ik deze geweldige stoffen gekocht.

bedrukt Aida, naturel linnen, een lapje paars-gemarmerd linnen, en dit prachtige 12 draads chocolade kleurige linnen.
en ja, daar ga ik dus de indonesische danseres op maken.

ik ben meteen begonnen, dus ik kan al wat laten zien.

vooral Ingrid was er erg benieuwd naar, dus zit je goed ?

I had already bough ecru fabric for the indonesian dancer, but I went to Naald en Draad in Roermond, and there I got these flovely fabrics.

printed Aida, naturel linnen, a bit of puple marbeld fabric, and this lovely 30 count chocolate linnen.

and yes, this is what I will stitch the indonesian dancer on.

I started right away, so I have some progress te show.

Tristan´s haar werd weer erg lang, dus tijd voor een zomerse snoeibeurt.
