Delfts blauw ornamentjes / Delftware ornaments

eindelijk, weer borduur foro´s !
de foto is niet helemaal goed gelukt, maar het idee is wel duidelijk, toch ?
vorig jaar heb ik een aantal kerst-ornamentjes gemaakt, voor de eerste keer, en dat beviel zo goed, dat ik de smaak meteen te pakken had.
maar om nou je hele huis vol te hangen met kerst-ornamentjes...........................gaat ook een beetje vervelen .
dus ik wilde wat anders.
en na pasen, toen de paas-tak een beetje leeg was, toen kwam langzaam het idee om daar iets voor te maken.
de Delfts blauwe patroontjes vond ik meteen al erg leuk, en 1 + 1 is 2, dus zo doende !

the photo did not turn out quite the way I wanted, but I think you get the idea, right ?
last year I made a few christmas-ornaments, for the first time, and I liked it so much, that I wanted to make some more.
but to fill up my entire house with christmas ornaments................................that does get a bit boring.
so I wanted something different.
and after easter, as my easter-branch was getting a bit empty, I got the idea to make something to put on that branch.
the Delftware charts I liked right away, and 1 + 1 makes 2, so that´s what I did !

ben eigenlijk vergeten foto´s te maken in het begin, dus vandaar dat je alleen de ´bijna klaar´foto´s ziet.

meestal werk ik niet graag met Aida, maar voor ornamentjes vind ik het helemaal ideaal, het blift zo goed in vorm !

I forgot to take photo´s from the start, that´s why you only see the `almost ready ´ photo´s.

I usually don´t like to work with Aida, but for ornaments I really like it, it keeps it shape so well !

en ik vind het nix als de achterkant zo kaal blijft, dus vandaar de kleine vlindertjes.

I don´t like it if the back side is so empty, that´s the reason fot the little butterflies.

ik maak de lintjes vast aan de boven en onderkant, en naar het geheel dan dicht.

laat wel aan de onderkant een opening om te vullen.

ik gebruik hier een spitse naald voor, anders hou je geen vingers meer over !

de draadjes laat ik dan hangen om na het vullen alles weer dicht te maken.

voor verdere uitleg kijk even hier, ik volg eigenlijk gewoon de uitleg van Mylene, maar ik doe de kraaltjes pas achteraf.

I atatch the ribbons on the top and bottom, and then I sew the whole thing together.

leave an opening on the bottom to put the filling in.

use a neelde with a sharp point to do this, or your fingers will suffer !

I leave the threads just hanging there, to re use after filling.

if you want more of an explanation look here, I simply follow Mylene´s instructions, but I attach the beads afterwards, not right away.

als ik klaar ben met dicht naaien, dan maak ik het vast met een klein knoopje, steek de naald in de rand terug, en knip het draadje kort af.

als ik dan aan de naald trek dan verdwijnt het uiteinde in het ornamentje en is alles netjes afgewerkt.

when I´m done with the sewing, I finnish a little knot, then put the needle back into the edge, and cut the thread short.

then I pull the needle through the ornament, and the remaining thread disappears into the ornament, and you have a really nice finnish.

de hoekjes blijven wat dikker, dat komt door het stof dat daar natuurlijk wat dikker op elkaar zit.

the corners are a bit thicker, that´s becourse you have the fabric thats packed together there.

om even de maat aan te geven van het kleinste ornamentje.................

ik weet nog niet zeker of ik er kraaltjes langs maak, of ze zo laat.

kan allemaal dacht ik zo.

ik wil ook een `Hollandse `versie maken, met rood-wit-blauw lint eraan, maar ik kan tot nog toe alleen lint vinden dat te breed is naar mijn smaak, ik vind dat het maximaal een 10 mm breed mag zijn.

misschien ook nog wel een idee om zulke setjes te proberen te verkopen.

maar wat ik er dan voor moet vragen........................

I´m not sure wether to finish them with beads or not,or leave them as they are.

I think they look good either way.

and I want to do a `Dutch ` version, with red-white-blue ribbon, but I can´t seem to find the ribbon I want, I think it should not be wider then 10 mm.

maybe it would be an idea to try and sell sets like these.

but what price to charge.............

jullie weten nog wel dat in November vorig jaar Rinus, het konijn van Tristan is overleden.
nu wilde ik wel een nieuw huisdier voor hem, maar laten we eerlijk zijn, we weten allemaal wie dan het meeste wer mag doen, vooral als het op schoonmaken aankomt.
juist, moeders !
dus weer een konijn zag ik niet zo zitten.
nu had ik nog een vissenkom, dus ik dacht, waarom geen vissen ?
goudvissen zijn zo gewoon, dus zijn we gaan kijken voor andere vissen.
en uiteindelijk zijn deze het geworden ;

as you know in November of last year Rinus, Tristan´s pet rabbit past away.
I wanted to get him a new pet, but lets be honnest, we all know who has to do the most work, when it comes to cleaning after them.

so I did not think getting another rabbit was a good idea.
in the attic I had a fishbowl, so I though, what about fish ?
goldfish are , well, a bit boring, so we went to the store to find some other fish.
and there are the ones we came home with ;

en 2 guppy dames en 1 guppy heer.

steentjes had ik nog, kasteeltje ook, dus nog wat plantjes erbij, en huppakee !

hallo allemaal, hier even een kort berichtje van mij.
sorry dat ik niets van me heb laten horen, maar het was even niet anders.
helaas moet ik jullie evrtellen dat mijn man en ik hebben besloten uit elkaar te gaan, we gaan scheiden.
een hele moeilijke en pijnlijke beslissing, maar het is het beste zo.
we werken nu aan een goede oplossing en regeling voor ons beiden, en natuurlijk voor onze zoon.
gelukkig gaat dat in goed overleg, dus ik heb er vertrouwen in dat het goed gaat komen.
en ook met mij gaat het goed komen, het heeft alleen , helaas, tijd nodig.

ik hoop dat jullie begrijpen dat de afgelopen maand het borduren op een laag pitje heeft gestaan.
maar nu ben ik weer zover dat ik het borduren, en het bloggen weer op wil pakken.
ik ben er nog, en ben zeker niet van plan helemaal weg te blijven hoor !
maar soms zal ik even mijn tijd en aandacht op andere dingen moeten richten.

ik hoop snel met leuker nieuws te komen.

hello everyone, here´s a short message from me.
I´m so sorry I haven´t been around lately, but I had my reasons.
unfortunately I have to tell you that my husband and I have decided to separeta, we are getting a divorce.
this was a very hard and painfull decision, but it is for the best.
now we are working on a good solution an arangement for the both of us, and of course for our son.
thank goodness we are still on speaking terms, so I have good faith that we´ll be able to work this out.
and I will be fine to, it will just, unfortunately, take some time.

I hope you can understand that for the past month stitching has been very little on my mind.
but now I´ve gotten tot the point where I slowly picking it back up, and bloggins aswell .
I´m still here, and I have no intention to stay away !
but there will be times where I´ll have to put my attention and time somewhere else.

I hope I´ll be back son with some more pleasant news.
I´d like to wish you all a nice weekend , and see you soon !

pindakaas perikelen / peanutbutter frenzy

ook zo gek op pindakaas ?
nou, hier gaat een pot maar een week of 2 mee hoor.
en het gekke is, ik ben er nou niet dat je zegt helemaal dol op, hubby vind het maar nix, en zoonlief blieft het ook niet.
maar toch is die pot om de andere week weer leeg.
zeg nou zelf, dat is echt leeg, toch ?
en hoe dat kan ?

wel, a jar last about 2 weeks over here.
and the weird thing is, I can´t say I like it all that much, hubby doesn´t go near it, and my dear son doesn´t fancy it either.
but still the jar is empty every other week.
cleaned out completely, as you can tell.
and how that is possible ?

jaha, je ziet het goed ; pindakaas pot op een stokje, jawel. ik zag het voor het eerst bij mijn moeder, en vond het meteen leuk. dus maar eens voorzichtig gevraagd, of mijn vader er ook 1 voor ons wou maken......... deed ie gelukkig ! en sinds eind vorige zomer staat ie dus hier in de tuin. om de vogeltjes te voeren. alhoewel het wel even duurde voordat de vogeltjes het door hadden, dat er wat te smikkelen viel.......... blijkbaar hebben we toch niet de allerslimste vogels hier in de buurt...........

no, you´re not seeing things, that really is a peanutbutter jar on a stick. I first saw it at my mother´s, and I liked it right away. so I dared ask if my dad would make 1 for us aswell.............. and luckaly he did ! so since the end of last summer it´s been standing in our garden. to feed the birds. but it did take them quite a while to find out there was something yummy to eat............ gues we don´t really have the smartest birds around here......

maar toen ze het eenmaal doorhadden, toen was er geen houden meer aan ! ik heb heel wat verschillende soorten vogeltjes gezien, hele families kwamen naar ons afhaal-restaurant .
en 1 avond zag ik een wel heel vreemde vogel...
dacht even dat ik het mis had, zo snel was ie, maar zie hier, het bewijs !

en minder gewazel betekend meer borduren, zie hier, de sluier is af !
ik heb het wit vervangen voor B5200 , simpleweg omdat ik geen wit meer had...........

in dit patroon komen ook weer diverse gecombineerde kleuren voor, en iemand vroeg me hoe ik die uit elkaar hield.
want dan denk je dat je klaar bent, en blijk je toch nog ergens wat vergeten te zijn.
dus ik heb een simpel kaartje gemaakt met gaatjes erin, stukje garen wat over is eraan, en heb ik nog een kruisje gemist, dan is dat geen probleem !

this chart has a lot of combined colours, and someone asked me how I kept them apart.
just when you think you´re done, you find out you´ve missed a bit.
so I made a simple card with some holes in it, attatched the left over threads, and when I find I´ve missed a stitch, there´s no problem !

Peetje vroeg me waar ik het stof van `Be Hippie `gekocht had.
ik heb het gekocht bij Naald en Draad in Roermond.
maar ik ben even voor je gaan zoeken, en heb het ook op internet gevonden, hier
en hier , en er zijn er vast nog wel meer.
het heet trouwens Aida arab, en is er zover ik weet in 2 kleuren.

en dat was het dan weer, tja 103 volgers, dat maak je niet elke dag mee, ben er nog steeds een beetje stil van !

vooruitgang en shop resultaten / progress and shopping results

en hoe het was, mijn vrije middag ?
nou, heerlijk !
ik heb snel gelunched , de wc gepoetst, opgeruimd, bedacht wat we zouden eten als avondeten ( en dat is soms al een dagtaak op zich ! ), en mijn gemiste aflevering van ATWT gekeken.
en geborduurd ?
oja, dat ook nog !
zie hierboven het resultaat van 1 bijna geheel vrije middag, en 3 halve avonden...

and how it was, my aftenoon off ?
well, it was great !
I had a quick lunch, cleaned the downstairs bathroom, cleaned up around the house, figured out what we were gonna have for dinner ( and that is at times a day-job in itself ! ), and watched an episode of ATWT that I had missed.
and stitched ?
yes, I did that to !
as you can see above, the results of 1 almost compleet afternoon off, and 3 half eavenings.....


en dan niet te vergeten, een reuze bedanktje aan Amarins en Babs, voor de DMC adresjes.
net toen ik besloten had een bestelling te plaatsen bij jullie DMC mannetje, mailde mijn eigen DMC mannetje.
ze waren verhuist en reageerden daarom pas later.
maar ik zal zeker jullie adresje eens uitproberen in de toekomst !

gesorteerd, en toch bij elkaar, en makkelijk me te nemen, mocht ik eens ergens heen willen gaan waar ik dat dan mee naartoe wil nemen, en .....en.......en.....

ja, ik weet, ik draaf door, geloof me, ik schrijf zoals ik praat, er komt werkelijk geen eind aan !

ik neem vanmiddag vrij ! / I´m taking the afternoon off !

de laatste tijd heb ik niet veel geborduurd, helaas.
ik wil wel, maar ik kan maar telkens de tijd niet vinden.
altijd is er wel wat dat in en om het huis gedaan moet worden, en bovendien werk ik nu tijdelijk 20 uur per week ipv 12.
en dat is ook even wennen, vooral omdat ik nog geen vast rooster heb, en ik elke week dus andere dagen tijden werk.
heel leuk, maar het voelt af en toe alsof ik full time werk !
en dan wil je natuurlijk ook nog wat quality-tijd doorbrengen met je kind................

for the last weeks I did not stich much.
I want to, but I just cant seem to find the time.
there is always something that needs to be done, in or around the house, and on top of that I now temporary work 20 hours a week iso 12.
that takes some ajusting, since I do not have a permanend roster, so I work diffenrent days and hours every week.
it´s fun, but sometimes it feels as if I work full-time !
and then you do want to spend some quallity time with your child..............


maar, nu begint het toch wat te worden !
het bovenstuk is uitgehaald, en opnieuw geborduurd, en ik vind het zelf heel mooi.
nu nog haar linker hand, want daar zie ik ook kleurverschil in, maar dat laat ik nog even zijn.
ik wil eerst nog de sluier ( of is het een vin ) op haar rug doen, en dan aan haar haar beginnen.
daar gebruik ik 1268 Molasses van Week Dye Works voor.
spannend, want daar heb ik nog nooit mee geborduurd.......

I frogged her upper body, and restitched it, and I´m very happy with it !
now I still need to do her left hand, I see a colour difference in there, but I´m leaving it for just now.
first I want to do her vail ( or is it a finn ) on her back, and then start on her hair.
I wan to use 1268 Molasses by Week Dye Works for that.
exciting, I´ve never stitched with that ...............


nu nog op zoek naar een nieuw DMC adresje...........
ik heb een flink aantal nummers die ik wil bijbestellen, heb dus al een bestelling geplaatst via de mail, maar ik hoor maar niets...........
ben dus bang dat ik op zoek moet naar een nieuw adres om goedkoop DMC in te slaan.
iemand idee-en ?


zelf kan ik nu weer reageren, en ik zie zelfs alweer steeds vaker mijn volgers, dus hopelijk gaat het bij jullie nu ook weer allemaal goed !
