fijne moederdag ! / happy mothersday !

vandaag is moederdag, althans, in Nederland.
ik vraag me eigenlijk af, wordt het overal geveierd, en op dezelfde dag ?
en natuurlijk kreeg ik kadotjes, die ik zelf had uitgezocht , maar manlief mocht ze betalen, en zoonlief heeft ze ingepakt.
wat ben ik een bofkont he !
Tristan had ook nog iets voor me gemaakt op school, maar hij had het zo goed verstopt, dat hij het niet meer terug kon vinden..................

I wonder, is mothersday celebrated everywhere, and on the same day ?
and of course I got presents ,which I had picked out myself , but which were payed for by hubbie and wrapped by my son.
aren´t I lucky !
Tristan had even made me something in school, but he had hidden it so well, that he could not find it anymore............

wat ik ermee ga doen ?
nou, dat zal ik vertellen.
dit jaar heb ik mijn paastak opgehangen voor het raam.
meestal zet ik hem gewoon in een vaas, in water, maar dit jaar wilde ik iets anders.
beetje slechte foto, ik weet het, maar beter lukte echt niet, en ik denk dat jullie zo wel een beetje een indruk krijgen.
en ja, nu is pasen voorbij en was mijn tak leeg.

this year I hung my easter branch in front of the window.
I usually put it in a vase, in water, but I wanted to do something different.
it´s a crappy photo, I know, but I really couldn´t get a better one, and I think you´ll get the idea this way.
and well, easter is over now, so my branch is empty.

de zeemeermin ligt momenteel een beetje stil.
druk met de voorbereidingen voor de communie, en eigenlijk ook niet zoveel zin.
maar , ik heb wel een andere WIP afgemaakt ; don´t worry, be hippie is af !
dit is een patroon van Barbara Ana, ik vind haar ontwerpen helemaal geweldig, met al die vrolijke kleurtjes.
nu nog inlijsten, maar dat zal nog wel even duren..........

the mermaid is laid to rest, for the moment.
I´m busy with the preparations for holy communion, and I´m just not in a stitching mood right now.
but, I did finish another WIP ; don´t worry, be hippie is all done !
this is a Barbara Ana design, I really like her charts, with all those lovely bright colours.
all that needs to be done now is to frame it, but that will probably take a while to.............

de meesten zullen het al gezien hebben, de flitsende banners rechts boven.
wat is dat zul je denken ?
nou, dat zijn sites waar je je kunt aanmelden, om door middel van het lezen van mails wat geld te verdienen.
geen hele grote bedragen hoor, dat zou natuurlijk te mooi zijn om waar te zijn.
meestal krijg je een mail of 4 per dag, en dan is de vergoeding een kwart cent, of zoiets dergelijks.
gaat niet zo heel snel, maar kost van de nadere kant ook niet zo heel veel tijd.
ik laat de mails op een apart email adres komen, en dan kijk ik erna als ik tijd heb, soms elke dag, soms 1x per week, net hoe het uitkomt.
kijk maar eens of je het wat vind, en vind je het niets, dan kun je je gewoon weer afmelden.

joehoe, kennen jullie me nog ?
ja, ik weet het , ik ben weer een tijdje afwezig geweest.
niets ernstigs hoor, gewoon, vanalles, en nog meer.
en dan, zomaar ineens, zijn we alweer 3 maanden verder..............................jeetje, wat de tijd toch vliegt, ik denk dat ik oud wordt !

maar ik heb niet stilgezeten hoor.
er zijn altijd wel genoeg dingen te doen.
is het niet werken, het huishouden, dan is het wel weer wat anders.
Tristan is in februari gedoopt, want hij wil dit jaar zijn eerste communie doen.
en daar heeft mamma het dan ook weer druk mee.............

yes, I know, I´ve been a bit absent lately.
nothning to worry about, just things, and more stuff.
and then, all f a sudden, 3 months have passed..........................may, how time flies, I think I´m growing old !

but I´ve been keeping busy.
there are always things to do.
if I´m not working, then I´m doing household chores, or something else.
Tristan has been baptised in februari, becaurse he wants to do his first communion this year .
and that keeps mummy busy aswell........






I heb nog wel geborduurd hoor, een beetje...............
hier zijn een aar foto´s van mijn vorderingen.
de staart is nu helemaal klaar, ik vind het echt prachtig geworden, ik heb plaats open gelaten voor de kraaltjes, ik beslis later nog wel of ik die plaatsen invul met kruisjes of niet.

I have been stitching, a bit................
these are a few photo´s of my progress.
the tail and flipper are looking so nice, I´ve left the spaces for the beads open, I´ll decide later if I´ll fill them in with stitches or not.



en als je dan eenmaal aan het bovenlijf begint................
and once you start on the upper body.....................

dan gaat het echt heel snel !
then things really go fast !

om er vervolgens achter te komen dat ik een fout gemaakt heb in haar arm.
dus nu ben ik bezig om het hele bovenlijf uit te halen, en opnieuw te doen.
bovendien zat er ook nog eens kleurverschil in het lichtste huidskleurige garen............
( ik had een groot stuk in dezelfde kleur geborduurd, werkt heerlijk snel, maar er zat dus kleurverschil in het garen )

maar voor vandaag vind ik dit even genoeg.
een nieuw stukje, nieuwe blogkleurtjes, en de belofte snel al jullie blogs weer te gaan bijlezen !

only to find that I´ve made an error, I´ve miscounted her arm.
so now I´m busy frogging her upper body, and stitching it again.
on top of that I found there was a colour difference in the lightest skincolour...............
( I did a big part in the same colour, works really fast, but somehow there was a colour difference in the thread )

but for today this will have to do.

het aantal steken is hetzelfde, maar schijnbaar is de stof een beetje raar............
ik heb inderdaad wel de 2 kanten niet in de zelfde richting op het stof gemaakt, zou dat het zijn ?

I was really enthousiastic about finishing this ornament, when I found out that someting wasn´t right !

the number of stitches is the same, so obviously the fabric is a bit funny...........
it did not make the 2 sides in the same fabric direction, would that be it ?

nou, er zit dus niet anders op dan een nieuwe voorkant en een nieuwe achterkant te maken............

eerste finish 2011 ! / first finish 2011 !

en hier is hij dan, mijn eerste finish van 2011 !
weer een mini ornamentje voor Tristan.
het patroon is Autumn biscornu van Barbara Ana, de muts heb ik aangepast naar iets meer kerst....
het eekhoontje heb ik geborduurd met DMC verloopgaren.
nog een heel gedoe om het mooi te laten verlopen, omdat het geheel erg klein is, dit is Aida met 7 kruisjes per cm.
alleen denk ik dat ik deze nog een keer maak, maar dan op blauw stof.

another mini - ornament for Tristan.
the chart is Autumn biscornu by Barabra Ana, I changed the hat to some more christmas-sy colours....
the squirrel is stitched with DMC colour variations.
that was a bit of a hassle, to get the colour to variate, since this is all very small, I used Aida, 7 stitches / cm.
but I do think I might do this one again, then on blue fabric.
en mijn nieuwe project ?
daar was ik al aan begonnen , de zeemeermin !
dat schiet ook al aardig op, ik moet zeggen dat het Au Ver a Soie garen best prettig werk, voor zover metalic draad prettig werkt dan .
met wat ornamentjes en kleine werkje tussendoor wil ik het hier wel even bij laten, nog even niets nieuws meer beginnen !

I have aready started, the mermaid !
she is coming along nicely, and I have to say that the Au Ver a Soie thread is nice to stitch with, not that metalic threads are as nice to stitch with as normal floss.
for now I will stitck to this, and some little ornaments en small presents, and not start anything new.

bij Crownstitches heb ik dit prachtige garen besteld, Weeks Dye Works.
ik heb er nog nooit meee gewerk, dus dat wordt spannend !
Blue Bonnet, Bethlehem en Union Blue zijjn voor de patronen die ik pas gekocht, heb, Molasses wil ik gebruiken voor de haren van de zeemeermin, en Navy is bedoeld voor iets waar ik Blue Bonnet te ligt voor vind.
en dan nog de kleur Mermaid, tja, die moest ik gewoon hebben !

I´ve never used this before, so it will be quite exciting !
Blue Bonnet, Bethlehem and Union Blue are for the charts that I bought recently, Molasses I plann to use for the mermaids hair, and Navy I will use for something that recuires Blue Bonnet, but I find that a lo light shade.
and then there is Mermaid, well, I just had to have that !

een beetje laat misschien, maar de laatste projecten van 2010 , die wou ik jullie toch niet onthouden.
allereerst de danseres, hier is ze dan, helemaal klaar !
de ogen heb ik veranderd, want het rood vond ik toch wel erg rood.

it´s a bit late, I know, but my final finishes of 2010 , those I really wanted to share with you.
first of is the dancer, she´s all done !
I cchanged her eyes, the red in there was way to red for my liking, so I used a lighter shade.

en zo ziet er er nu uit, met een tintje lichter rood.
