niet te geloven.............7 jaar geleden is het alweer........................wanneer is dit gebeurd ???
ik kan me nog heel goed herinneren wat ik als eerste hoorde ; u heeft een zoon, en hij maakt het goed.
wat een simpele woorden, maar wat een grote betekenis .
en hij maakt het nog steeds goed, al 7 jaar lang !
maar wanneer die 7 jaar voorbij zijn gegaan ?
ik weet het niet, heeft iemand stiekum de klok vooruitgezet ??
nee ik wil niet zeuren hoor !
ik tel mijn zegeningen, en dit is een hele grote .
vandaag ( 7 oktober ) viert Tristan zijn 7e verjaardag !!

bekentenis / confession

ik moet eigenlijk iets bekennen..................
zei ik de vorige keer nog zo dapper dat ik waarschijnlijk niets zou veranderen aan de kleuren, nou........................toch wel dus !
ik ben begonnen aan de cirkel om het schip, en die moest eigenlijk met DMC 922 , maar dat vond ik toch iets te oranje.
dus daar heb ik DMC 975 voor gebruikt.
daar waar ik 922 nodig heb in het schip, daar gebruik ik het natuurlijk wel.
en ja, er zit en foutje in !

I have a confession to make................................
last time I said so bravely that I probably would not change much of the colors, well..........................I did !
I started on the circle around the ship, and that had to be done in DMC 922 , but I found that a bit to orange .
so I changed to DMC 975 instead.
were I need to use 922 in the ship I of course will use it there.
and yes, I made a little error !

voor de rest heb ik niet zoveel gedaan, Tistan wordt volgende week 7, dus ik ben druk met de voorbereidingen.

dan is er niet veel tijd over om te borduren.............

Discovery of the New World update

tatatata, zo ver ben ik al met Discovery of the New World !
dit borduurd echt heel lekker, geen rare dingen, gewoon borduren, en ik ben nog steeds helemaal verliefd op deze kleur stof.
ik moet nog even kijken of de blauw-kleuren van het water uitkomen op deze kleur stof, maar voor de rest zal ik nagenoeg niets veranderen.
lekker simpel !

this is such a nice stitch, no wierd things, just stitching, and I am still completely in love with the fabric color.
I need to check if the blue tones of the water will look good ont he fabric color, but besides that I will change next to nothing.

en zo gaat het er straks uitzien, ik vind vooral de dingetjes aan de rand erg leuk.

ik heb het patroon op internet gekocht, verder heb ik het ook nog nergens gezien.

en dan, een nieuwe start !

ik kon de verleiding niet weerstaan, en ben begonnen aan Discovery of the New World.

het stond al langer op mijn te-doen-lijstje, en het stof had ik ook al.

en ja, ik heb goed gemeten deze keer !

de kleur vind ik helemaal geweldig, het zit dicht bij DMC 341, een soort blauw-lavendel.

ik weet niet meer hoe het heet, maar volgens mij is het Jobelan, 11 draads, heerlijk soepel stof, dat erg prettig werkt.

had ik al gezegt dat ik de kleur echt helemaal geweldig vind ?

dit wordt een lekker relaxed project, geen gecombineerde kleuren, geen kleur veranderingen, gewoon niet nadenken, en lekker borduren !

veel grote vlakken ook, en dan vind ik het vaak handig om eerst de omlijning te doen, en daarna in te vullen.

zijn er eigenlijk meer mensen die dit doen, vraag ik me af ?

als ik een fout maak in de omlijning dan hoef ik minder uit te halen, en het invullen kan ik voor de tv doen, terwijl ik Goede Tijden kijk, of As The World Turns.

wat wil je nog meer !

I could not resised temptation, and started Discovery of the New World.

it has been on my to-do-list for a while, and I already had the fabric.

and yes, I messured correctly this time !

I love the color of the fabric, it's very close to DMC 341 , a sort of blue-lavender.

I don't remember what it's called, but I think it's Jobelan, 28 count, nice supple fabric, that stitches really nice.

did I mention that I really love the color ?

this will be a very releaxed project, no combined colors, no changing colors, no thinking, just stitching !

a lot of big erea's to fill, so I like to do the other lines first, and then fill in the rest.

are the more out there who do that, I wonder ?

if I make a mistake in the outher lines, I have to frog less, and I can fill in the rest while I watch tv, Goede Tijden ( Good Times - Bad Times a Dutch soap ) or As The World Turns.

( nice detail ; "Lucinda" , from ATWT recently played in a few episodes of Goede Tijden - Slechte Tijden ! )

en als laatste maar zeker niet de minste, ik heb gewonnen !

Berry Chick-Chat schiet al heel goed op, vanavond nog wat doen, en dan zal ik wel bijna klaar zijn.

nee, er is niets mis met je ogen, je ziet het goed, dit is de achterkant !
het idee had ik al eerder, en niet zo lang geleden zag ik zoiets ook op de blog van Tammy.
zij had het "what lies benieth " genoemd, en ik 'pik' haar text, met toestemming !
ik weet niet of anderen het ook doen, maar zo af en toe dan zit wel eens te kijken naar de andere kant, en ok, de voorkant ziet er beter uit, maar ik vind dat de achterkant ook wel eens een spotlight verdiend.
en ik geef toe, het is even moeilijk, het is toch nogal, tja, prive , of althans iets in die richting.
maar hier is het dus, open en bloot, mijn achterkant !
en ja, ik maak soms knoopjes, en soms ook lange oversteken.
sorry, ik ben niet perfect.
maar het kon erger , toch ?

nu vraag ik me wel af, is dit het begin tot iets....................................iets groter misschien ?
zijn er meer die nu ineens durven ?
om hun werk bloot te geven, en een foto van de achterkant van je werk op je blog te zetten ?
ik ben benieuwd, wie deze uitdaging aandurft !

I had the idea before, and not so long ago I saw something simular on Tammy's blog.
she had called it "what lies benieth " , and I'm 'stealing' her text, with permission !
I don't know if there are other who do it to, but now and then I look at the backside of my work, and ok, the front side looks better, I but think it's about time the backside was put in the spotlight.
I do admit, it is difficult, it's kind off, well, privat , or something along those lines.
but here it is, out in the open, my backside !
and yes, I do make knots somethines, and long crossovers.
sorry, I'm not perfect.
but it could be worse, could it not ?

now I am wondering, is this the beginning of something.............................. something bigger perhaps ?
are the more out there who are daring now ?
to put their work out in the open,and put a photo of the backside of your work on your blog ?
I am curious, who will take me up on this dare !
