heerlijk, eindelijk is het zomer !
lekker weer, zonnetje, wat wil je nog meer !
en dan vliegt de tijd, zomaar ineens zijn er al weer bijna 2 weken voorbij........
ik heb druk gewerkt aan Discovery, en nu is het echt bijna klaar !
bijna, nog niet helemaal dus, maar hier alvast een paar kleine stukjes, om de spanning erin te houden !

and time seems to fly, al of a sudden almost 2 weeks have passed......
I´ve been busy stitching Discovery, and now it´s really almost done !
almost, but not finished , so I´ve got a few little bits to show you, to keep you in suspence !

de blauwe stiksteken komen op de foto niet zo goed over, maar ik vind ze helemaal geweldig !

en..........een verlaat moederdag kadotje voor mijn moeder.

te laat, maar dat is haar eigen schuld, moet ze maar niet met vakantie gaan !

belated indeed, but that´s her own falt, she went on holiday !

en ik heb eindelijk het kleine kasteeltje voor Tristan ingelijst !

het lijstje had ik al een hele tijd, maar het inlijsten was nogal lastig.

er zit veel ruimte tussen het glas en het borduurwerk, dus uiteindelijk heb ik het met fotolijm voorzichtig op het achterblad vastgeplakt.

and I finally framed the little castle I stitched for Tristan !

the frame had been lying around for a while, but framing it proved to be quite difficult.

there is a lot of space between the glass and the sttiched fabric, so I ended up having to glue it carefully to the card-board thats in the back.

en dan nog een typisch gevalletje van hoe het 1 tot het ander leid.......

deze hele leuke vlinder zag ik in het tuincentrum.

Meenemen ! zei Tristan, dus dat doe je dan natuurlijk als goede moeder.

helaas hadden ze er maar 1.......

ik wist al meteen waar ik hem neer zou hangen, voor het raam, zodat de zon fijn in de kraaltjes kon schijnen.

maar...............de ramen waren behoorlijk vies, dus weinig geschitter.

dus, ramen wassen dan maar.

niet echt iets wat ik leuk vind, om de 1 of andere reden lukt het me niet om ze streeploos schoon te krijgen, ik zie telkens wel weer ergens iets zitten.

maar goed, het is gelukt, buiten kant en binnen kant, en de bovenverdieping wacht maar tot de volgende week !

I spotted this very cute butterfly in a garden centre.

Buy it ! Tristan said, so ofcourse, as any good mother would do, that´s what I did.

unfortunately they only had one................

I knew right away where I would put it, in front of the window, so the sunlight could shine through the beads.

but.............the windows were really dirty, so there was not much sparkling going on.

so, of to washing the windows .

not really something I like to do, for some reason I do not seem to be able to get them stripe-less clean, I always spot a bit of dirt again.

but, I maniged, outside and inside, and the upstairs windows will have to wait until next week !

making good picture´s proved to be quite difficult, but I think these turned out ok.

misschien hadden jullie het al gezien, bovenaan, net onder de kopfoto en boven de volgers staat een knop van Marktplaats.

als je op het onderste gedeelte klikt kom je bij mijn advertenties op Marktplaats uit.

ik ben mijn voorraad een goed aan het opruimen, en heb een heleboel patronen, magazines en bordurstof uitgezocht dat ik verkoop.

dit is nog niet alles, in de komende tijd komt er nog vanalles bij.

mocht er iemand interesse heben dan hoor ik het graag, een goede ruil is natuurlijk ook altijd leuk !

Silent Night ingelijst ! / Silent Night framed !

eindelijk is hij klaar, Silent Night, ingelijst en wel ! ik vond het nogal lang duren, en wilde net bellen, toen ik een telefoontje kreeg dat hij klaar was. ik weet eigenlijk nog niet waar ik hem precies neer ga hangen, ik denk aan de muur langs de trap omhoog. waarschijnlijk naast het schilderij dat mijn schoonmoeder gemaakt heeft . we hebben dat opnieuw laten inlijsten, en de lijst is bijna hetzelfde. bovendien vind ik het er qua stijl wel bij passen.

finally it´s ready, Silent Night is framed ! I thought it was taking quite long, so I was just about to ask, when I recived a phone call that it was finished. I´m not really shure where I´ll put it, probably up te stairs, on the wall. I think I´ll put it next to the apinting that my mother in law dis. we had that re-framed, and I think that the frame and the style of the painting match really well.

hier is het koud en regent het, de zomer lijkt wel alweer voorbij !

dus ik wou nog snel een foto laten zien van de gele regen in de tuin, hij staat zo mooi in bloei, en voor je het weet zijn de bloemen weer weg.

hij moet gesnoeid worden, ik weet het, maar manlief is helaas weinig thuis geweest, en ik zie mezelf nog niet echt op een ladder klimmen met een snoeischaar.................geen goed idee !

it´s been very cold here, and rainy, summer seems to be over already !

so I would like to share this photo of the tree in our back yard, I don´t know the name in English, is I simply translate the words from Dutch its; yellow rain.

it is so pretty when in bloom, and the flowers will be gone before you know it.

it needs to be pruned, I know, but hubby dearest hasn´t been home much, and I really do not see myself climbing on a ladder with those big siccors............not a good idea !

nee, dit is geen nieuw project, deze is al een hele tijd af.
Chiloe bracht me op het idee om een foto van Tristan´s geboorte tegel te plaatsen.
zelf is ze momenteel ook bezig aan een Maria van Scharrenburg.
dus ik dacht, dan laat ik die van mij eens zien, dus bij deze !
verder heb ik helaas niet veel te melden.
een hele week vrij gehad, en toch maar heel weinig geborduurd, gek he !

Chiloe inspired me to post a photo of Tristan´s birthsampler.
she is stitching a Maria van Scharrenburg herself at the moment.
so I thought, I´ll show mine , and here it is !

Barbapapa

Kom op bezoek bij Barbapapa............. Dit is echt jeugdsentiment voor mij, ik keek altijd naar Barbapapa toen ik klein was ! En nu heb ik wat leuks ! Mijn zus is het schuld, zij had er 1 aan haar telefoon hangen, en die was zo leuk ! Een paar dagen geleden gaf ze me de blauwe, en nu heb ik er al 5 ! Zijn ze niet schattig ?

Ik heb het even opgezocht, en het zijn ( van links naar rechts ) Barbabob, Barbabenno, Barbabella, Barbabientje en Barbalala. En ik heb dubbelen, mocht iemand interesse hebben ! Zucht, dat was in de jaren 70 , ik voel me nu echt oud ! Ik vraag me af of deze serie ook in andere landen op tv te zien is geweest ? Ik denk het wel , maar ik hoor het natuurlijk graag van jullie !

The tune of Barbapapa...........that really takes me back , I always used to watch the cartoons when I was little ! And look what I´ve got now ! My sister is to blame really, she had one on her cell-phone, and that was so cute ! A few days ago she gave me the blue one, and now I alraedy have 5 ! Aren´t they adorable ?

I do not know the names in English, but I have a few doubles, if anyone is interested. They are from the seventhies, I feel so old ! I do wonder if the cartoons were shown on tv in other country ´s ? I think so, but I would love to hear it from you !

Tristan heeft 2 weken vrij van school, en gisteren zijn we geweest shoppen,hij had weer nieuwe zomerkleren nodig.

Hij kreeg van mij een nieuwe koptelefoon voor zijn Nintendo.

En geloof me, dat is heel handig !

Hij had er al 1, maar die moest je in het oor doen, en daar kon meneer niet tegen, ze deden hem pijn zei hij.

En nu vond ik deze, hij kan ze zelf al opdoen, alleen hij vind het nog reuze interessant hoe zijn stem klinkt als hij ze op heeft..........

Tristan has 2 weeks off from school, and yesterday I took him shopping, he needed new summer clothes.

I got him these new headphones for his Nintendo.

And believe me, they do come in handy !

He already had a set, but those you had to put in your ear, and he did not like them, he said that they hurt him.

So I found these, he can put them on himself, it is just that he realy likes the sound of his own voice once he has them on..................

Bedankt voor jullie lieve reacties op Discovery ! Ik had ook al het idee dat ik al bijna klaar was, totdat ik me realiseerde hoeveel stiksteken ik nog moest doen............

Echt alles moet gestik-steekt ( nieuw woord ?) worden !

Really everything has to be back-stitched (new word ? ) !

So I started on that, so that I won´t be left with just back stitching.

Silent Night is klaar, dus tijd om Discovery of the New World weer uit de kast te trekken !
en ik moet zeggen dat dat best lekker werkt, na al dat zwart.
ik ben er stiekum alweer een tijdje mee bezig, maar ben eigenlijk vergeten om in de tussentijd foto's te maken.................
dus nu lijkt het alsof ik in een korte tijd heeeel veel geborduurd heb, lol !

het lijkt a heel wat, maar om eerlijk te zijn, de rand rondom en de cirkels , daar gaat niet zo heel veel tijd inzitten.
het schiet heerlijk op met borduren, en het lijkt meteen ook alsof je heel veel gedaan hebt !

and they are really nice and quick to stitch, you really feel like you've made lot's off progress !
