kijk nou toch eens wat ik gekocht heb op Marktplaats............
ik zag op een blog ( weet niet meer welke ) ´Waiting for ships ` van Mirabilia, en ja, toen was ik verkocht !
om eerlijk te zijn wilde ik nog een zeemeermin maken, en die dan ingelijst ophangen naast Deepest Love.
ik heb een nog lege slaapkamer muur die daarvoor reserveerd is.
en in de eerste instantie was ik van plan om Mermaids of the deep blue te borduren.
een prachtig patroon, maar ik was niet zo tevreden met de dingen die ze vasthouden, of schijnen te plukken, maar waar vandaan dan, en wat moet het in hemelsnaam voorstellen ?
dus daar wou ik wat aan veranderen, maar hoe en wat............ik ben er nog niet uit.
maar goed, ik dwaal af !
nu zag ik dus ineens ergens Waiting for ships.
en die vind ik ook heel mooi !
meer in de stijl van Deepest Love, en ze kijkt naar links, terwijl Deepest Love naar rechts kijkt, dus dat lijkt me wel een leuke zusje voor haar.
en via Marktplaats heb ik nu het patroon gekocht, met alle kraaltjes, tresures en speciale garen erbij, voor nog geen 25 euro !
echt een koopje !
de verkoopster verkoopt nog veel meer patronen, en soms zelfs complete pakketten van Mirabilia, dus als je wat zoekt, bij Cindy moet je zijn, sla je slag !

just look what I bought on Marktplaats..............
I saw on a blog ( do not remember which one ) `Waiting for ships ` by Mirabilia, and well, then it happend, I was sold !
to be honnest, I did plan to stitch another mermaid, and then hang it beside Deepest Love.
I have an empty bedroom wall reserved for that.
and at first I had planned to stitch Mermaids of the deep blue.
a beautiful design, but I´m not so happy with what it is they are honding in their hands, or seem to be harvesting, where does it come from, and what in heavens name is it supposed to be ?
so I wanted to change that, but how, and what................ I haven´t figured that out just yet.
anyway, I´m wandering of !
no now I all of a sudden Waiting for ships cought my eye.
and I really like her aswell !
she is more in the style of Deepest Love, and she looks to the left, while Deepest Love looks tot the right, so I think she will be a nice looking sister to her.
and now I bought the chart on Marktplaats, including all of the beads, special threads and treasures, for less the 25 euro !
a real bargain !
the seller is selling more Mirabilia charts, and even some complete kits of Mirabilia so if there is anything you are looking for, go to Cindy, and make your pick !




maar ik ga sterk zijn, alhoewel het ontzettend kriebeld, probeer ik nog niet te beginnen.
ik wil haar borduren op hetzelfde stof als Deepest Love, en dat heb ik nog , maar ik heb nog niet gekeken of het genoeg is, knap he !
ik wil gewoon niet weer 5 of 6 WIP´s hebben, want dat werkt niet zo voor mij.
en bovendien, de danseres borduurd ook nog veel te lekker.
helaas nog steeds alleen maar bruin, 7 tinten nu, nog steeds geen stiksteken, maar ik kijk wel al heel erg uit naar een andere kleur !

but I´m going to be strong, although it´s itcing me really bad, I´m trying not to start yet.
I want to stitch her on the same fabric I used for Deepest Love, and I still have it, but I haven´t looked to see if it will fit, isn´t that good of me ?
I just do not want to have 5 or 6 WIP ´s on my hands, that just doesn´t work for me.
and besides, I like stitching the dancer still.
unfortunately still only brown, 7 shades by now,and stil no backstitches, but I am really looking foreward to some other colors by now !


wat Be Hippie betreft heb ik helaas nog geen update, ik heb er niet meer aan gewerkt, maar dat komt wel weer.
maar nu heb ik nog een vraagje aan jullie dames.
bij het patroon van Waiting for ships zit ook speciaal garen, Au Ver a Soie.
ik heb er nog nooit mee gewerkt........
de kleuren komen wel overeen met het Kreinik dat op het patroon staat vermeld, maar hoe verwerk je het ?
en werkt het beter / fijner dan Kreinik ?
bij Deepest Love hoefde ik maar een heel klein beetje, wat stiksteken, dus ik heb wat metallic garen van mezelf gebruikt.
maar nu heb ik veel meer nodig, dus dan gaat dat niet.
dus alles jullie tips voor me hebben dan hoor ik het graag !

as far as Be Hippie goed, I don´t have any update to show, since I haven´t worked on it anymore, but that will happen soon.but now I have a question for you ladies.
with the chart of Waiting for ships came some special threads, Au Ver a Soie.
I have never worked with that..............
the colors do match the Kreinik that is charted, but how do I use it ?
and does it work the same / better then Kreinik ?
with Deepest Love I just needed such a little bit, that I used some metallic from my own stash.
but now I need a lot more, so that will not work.
so if you have some tips for me, please let me know !

Deepest Love is ingelijst !
ik heb haar een paar dagen geleden opgehaald bij de lijstenmaker, en sindsdien geniet ik, ze hangt namelijk in de woonkamer.
je zou toch jaloers op haar worden, met dit warme weer !
ze is geborduurd op 11 draads licht blauw linnen, met een groene marmer erin.
de kleuren zijn zoals voorgeschreven, en in de sluier heb ik een parelmoerdraadje toegevoegd.
de Mill Hill kralen heb ik gebruikt, maar de treasurs niet.
ik sta er telkens weer van versteld hoeveel mooier de Mirabillia´s zijn in het echt, dan op het voorbeeld plaatje !

Deepest Love is framed !
I picked her up from the framers a few days ago, and since then I´ve been enjoying her , she is hanging in our livingroom for now.
I really envy her with this warm weather !
she was stitched on 28 count licht blue linnen, with a green marble in it.
the colors are as charted, in her vail I added a mother of pearl thread .
I did use the Mill Hill beads, just not the treasures.
it always amazes me how the Mirabilia´s are so much more prettier in real, then on the color print that comes with the chart !

en ik kan natuurlijk nog veel meer vertellen, maar daar heb ik nu echt geen zin in.

het is hier 36 graden, en ik ben zojuist met Tristan naar zijn zwemles geweest.

ruim een uur in een warm , broeierig hok, jekkes !

dus ik heb de ventilator aan en neem nu lekker een ijsje !

over an hour in a hot, humid place, juk !

so I´ve turned the fan on, and I´m having some ice cream !

niet zo veel - not so much

tja, eigenlijk heb ik niet zoveel om te laten zien.....
ik heb de laatste weken niet veel geborduurd om eerlijk te zijn.
we zijn hier in huis druk aan het klussen, en mijn pc gaf ook nog eens de geest, dus ik heb het druk genoeg gehad, maar niet met borduren.....

zover ben ik nu met Gracious Era.

de halve steken vind ik erg mooi geworden, en het schiet lekker op !

nu moet ik nog wat garen bestellen, verschilende kleuren zijn op, en dan kan ik weer verder.

well, I don't have that much to show, actually.......

to be honnest I did not stitch that much the last weeks.

we've been busy DIY-ing in our house, and my omputer desided to go on strike, so I have been quite busy, just not with stitching..........

this is how far I have gotten now with Gracious Era.

I like the way the half-stitches turned out, and they are really fast to stitch !

I have to order some new DMC now, I'm out of a few collours, and then I can continue.

aan het kleine kasteeltje heb ik nog een paar steekjes gedaan, maar dat zie je niet echt.

ik denk erover om aan TW's The Castle verder te gaan, maar ik heb ook erg veel zin om aan een nieuwe Mirabillia te beginnen....

nu heb ik 4 lopende projecten, dus toch maar eerst iets afmaken voordat ik aan wat nieuws begin !

I did a few stitches on the little castle, but it does not really show.

I've been thinking of working some more on TW's The Castle, but I would really love to start a new Mirabillia too.......

at this moment I have 4 running projects, so I better finnish some of them before starting something new !

ik neus nogal vaak op internet, en pas geleden vond ik een handwerksite, waar die dag korting was op de borduurpatronen.........

tja, ik kon me niet inhouden, en heb 4 patronen gekocht.

3 stuks heb ik al binnen, de 4e moest bijbesteld worden.

I often spend time on the internet, and recently I found a site, where they had a 10% discount that day on cross stitch patterns.......

well, I could not resist, so I bought 4 patterns.

3 of them I have already recived, but 1 is in back-order.

dit zijn ze ; Celtic Autum en Celtic Summer van Lavender and Lace.

ik vind ze zooooooo mooi, hierin zit ook weer metaalkleurig draad, en heel veel kraaltjes verwerkt.

I like them sooooooooooo much, these designs are also done with metallic treath and beads.

en dan nog deze, Mermaids of the Deep van Mirabillia.

dan is het alleen nog de vraag wanneer ik uberhuapt tijd heb om ze te maken.........
