Angelique, the boxes I use are these ;
het is erg handig dat er een extra bak in zit voor reserve strengetjes, of andere dingen.
en de bobbins kunnen er rechtop instaan, dat is wel zo makkelijk, en overzichtelijk !
en ze zijn groter dan de standaard DMC dozen, want ik heb ( samen met mijn moeder ) bijna alle kleuren DMC en heb dus grote dozen nodig.
ik heb ze gekocht bij Bobbins, er was toendertijd een actie.
maar wellicht zijn ze ook wel ergens anders te krijgen, ik heb er niet echt naar gekeken, want ik heb er zelf 3, dus ben voorzien !
in ieder geval is het een stuk handiger dan ons oude opbergsysteem ;

I really like that they have an extra tray voor spare skeins, or other things.
and I can put the bobbins in upright, which I find comes in handy , and very well organized !
and they are bigger then the standard DMC boxes, becaurse I have ( together with my mother ) almost all of the DMC colors, so I need big boxes.
I bought them at Bobbins, they were on sale back then.
perhaps you can get them somewhere else aswell, I did not check, since I already have 3 and do not need any more.

ik gebruik alleen DMC, maar ik merk toch nog vaak dat een nieuw strengetje ineens een ander kleur of tint heeft dan dat wat ik al had.
erg lastig, en vaak een boel extra uithaalwerk !
nu weet ik wel dat DMC een tijd geleden haar verf heeft aangepast, om milieu redenen.
en dat is vooral te merken aan de grijs en groene tinten, ik heb het al gemerkt bij de kleuren, 414, 645 , 647, en 503 .

Ingrid, I do know your problem !I only use DMC, but I notice quite often that a new skein is a different color or tone from what I already had.
really not nice, and it often means extra frogging !
but I do know that DMC changed their paint, due to environment regulations.
and that really show in the green and grey colors, I have noticed it in 414, 645, 647 and 503.
sorry voor de slechte foto, maar hierop is het kleurverschil het duidelijkste te zien !
vaak zie ik het pas s ´avonds, en valt het bij daglicht niet zo op, raar he ! ********************************
I´m sorry for the crappy photo, but this one show the color difference the best.
often I do not notice it until in the eavening, and the diffenrence doensn ´t show hat much in daylight, isn´t that weird ?
